Nowadays it seems like everyone is starting a podcast and for good reason, podcasting is the bee’s knees and works for a variety of different industries from business to health and beyond. Tired of doing it all yourself and ready to find your own podcast manager? Find out exactly what to look for today.
It’s important for your podcast manager to be knowledgeable about podcasts. Sure, a general VA can probably do podcast-related tasks but they may not have the know-how to help you use your podcast to make strategic decisions in your business.
Your podcast manager should also have experience with podcasting. This kind of goes hand-in-hand with knowledge. I believe your podcast manager should have prior experience with running a podcast – whether it be their own podcast or a client’s podcast.
- Good Communication
Your podcast manager should be a good communicator. Communication is key and helping someone run a podcast is a big undertaking so your clients should feel confident and in the loop throughout the process. We communicate with our clients primarily in a project management tool or within Slack – either their workspace or our own depending on their preference.
- Fair Price
There are so many different price ranges out there for podcast strategists so I recommend shopping around and figuring out which pricing is going to be the best fit for you. Look at the different offerings that each podcast manager has (how many episodes they offer per month for editing, shownotes, etc.), if they offer a monthly coaching call, etc. This can help be the deciding factor for picking your podcast manager.
