As podcasters, our main goal each month is to continue to grow our listenership for our show so I wanted to share why I think Pinterest is such a good tool for podcasters to utilize as a part of your marketing strategy and what you can do to use Pinterest to its fullest potential.
As a former Pinterest strategist, I definitely have a soft spot for Pinterest. It is a great way to get your business in front of your ideal audience without having to worry about ad spend. Pinterest has 300 million + monthly users with 85 million of those users being from the US. If your podcast’s target audience is primarily female then you’ll want to focus on Pinterest even more because 70% of Pinterest users are female.
As you can see, Pinterest is something you should definitely tap into for your podcast if you’re ready to take your podcast to the next level.
How to Maximize Your Podcast with Pinterest
Get in front of a new audience
Utilizing Pinterest allows you to get in front of a new audience that may not have ever found you otherwise. Once you get these new eyes on your website, it’s so much easier to convert them to listeners of your podcast.
Create multiple Pinterest sized graphics for your episodes
Once you have got the groove of Pinterest down, it’s important to make at least 5-7 Pinterest graphics per episode to get the most bang for your buck.
Convert your website visitors to podcast subscribers
Like I mentioned above, once you have people on your website because of Pinterest, it’s time to sell them on subscribing to your show. Make sure your shownotes are enticing enough at first glance to convince them to give it a listen and turn into subscribers.
