You want to create content that people can happen upon and it’ll still be relevant years later versus content that expires within a few days or weeks of being posted.

Since evergreen content is better for SEO that means that you’ll probably experience an increase in traffic to your website from search engines if you’ve implemented proper SEO techniques on your evergreen post. I recommend having at least a handful of evergreen posts available on your site but the more, the better.

I don’t know about you but I’m more likely to share content that will be relevant a year from now versus 30 days from now. Although talking about the latest fashion trends is fun, it isn’t going to be a consistent traffic driver to your website since it isn’t evergreen.
