If you have been blogging for quite some time, then you have probably experienced some type of blogger burnout at one point or another. Today I’m going to be talking about how to combat blogger burnout.
How to Best Combat Blogger Burnout
Take a step back
When you’re really feeling worn down from blogging then the best thing to do is to take a step back and focus on other things. Go to bed a little earlier instead of cranking out that post to give yourself some time to unplug from the very thing that is stressing you out.
Stop focusing on what everyone else is doing
A lot of the time when I experienced burnout from blogging it was usually due to subconsciously comparing myself to other bloggers in my niche. This caused me to cast doubt on myself and thus feel worn out from blogging and like my content wasn’t good enough.
Do something not related to blogging
Whether that’s a good workout, getting some fresh air, or hanging out with friends – it’s important to take a second to unplug from blogging if you’re feeling burnt out from it.
Learn how to say no
This can be difficult sometimes but when you’re feeling burnt out from blogging, being able to say no is important. Whether that’s to a collaboration or just writing a new post when you’re not feeling inspired, do it. It will help you recover from your burnout quicker if you’re not forcing yourself to do things you don’t feel like doing.
Have a little me time
Me time is an essential when you’re feeling burnout. I like to give myself a mini spa day to help recuperate from the burnout. I also allow myself to enjoy some not so healthy food to get in full treat yourself mode.
