If you’re a blogger and you’ve been considering looking into becoming a social media manager, then this post is for you. Today I’m going to be sharing a little more about why bloggers make the best social media managers. Find out how to become a social media manager by reading the first post in this series.
Why Bloggers Make the Best Social Media Managers
Already know how to grow a social media following
As a blogger, you should already know the basics on growing a social media following because you’ve had to do it for your own brand. This gives you a leg up because you’ve already done the work it takes to combat the ever changing algorithms for your own accounts and you can easily do the same for others.
Familiar with social media scheduling tools
Chances are if you’re a blogger, you’re already somewhat familiar with the different social media scheduling tools out there. Let’s be real, ain’t nobody got time for posting everything in real time so most bloggers are using at least one social media scheduler to make their lives easier. This also gives you a leg up on the competition because you have experimented for yourself and found the scheduling tool you like the best so if you were to offer social media management to others then you already know how to use the tool and don’t have to start completely from scratch.
Have an interest in social media
This may not be the case for every blogger out there, but most bloggers have some sort of interest in social media because it’s a part of their brand. Now you may not love every social media platform out there, but I’m sure you have a favorite channel whether it’s Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest.
Have social proof
This kind of goes hand in hand with my first point but having that social proof is key. Even if you haven’t landed your first client yet, your own social media accounts can be social proof for your potential clients to see that you have experience with growing a social media following.
