Blogging has been a journey so far, that’s for sure. I’ve learned so many important things from blogging that I may not have learned if I never started a blog. I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learned from blogging and wanted to share with you 5 reasons to start a blog.
5 Reasons to Start a Blog
Gain a Community
When I first started blogging almost two years ago, I had no idea how large the blogging community was or how impactful it was going to be for me. Sure enough, I’ve met some amazing people that I would’ve never gotten the opportunity to meet otherwise. Shoutout to my wonderful blog/biz besties who I have met along the way.
Learn New Things
Through blogging I have learned a ton of new things including how to use Photoshop better, basic SEO knowledge, and how to pitch to brands. I’ve even been able to work towards becoming my own boss which is one of the best things I have found from this whole experience. Blogging has opened a whole new world of things that I never thought I was capable of doing and I’m beyond thankful for all that I have been able to learn.
Build a brand
Blogging has helped me build my own brand and make a name for myself in the online space. With this, I have been able to get so many amazing opportunities. I have not only been able to use blogging as a resume builder to showcase my expertise, but I’ve been able to branch out and start offering my own services. Being able to make this opportunity for myself in such a big online world has been completely life changing.
Expose yourself to new opportunities
With a blog, you expose yourself to tons of new opportunities. Some of these opportunities include working with your favorite brands, collaborating with bloggers in your niche, and much more. I was even able to start offering social media services because of my blog. I don’t think I would’ve gotten the courage to do that if I hadn’t joined the blogging community.
You Can Make Some Side Income
Making side income is arguably one of the best parts of blogging. With sponsored posts, affiliate income, and offering products or services – side hustling is a lot of work but if it’s something that you’re passionate about, it’s all worth it in the end.
